RHS Music Foundation Summer Music Program Scholarship

All Reservoir High School Music Department students who meet the eligibility requirements below are encouraged to submit applications for the RHS Music Foundation Summer Music Program Scholarship.


ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:


Reservoir High School Music Department students must have participated in their respective music departments during the previous school year in high school.  Music departments are defined as Choral and/or Instrumental ensembles listed within this application.  


APPLICATION SUBMISSION:


Students should request endorsement in plenty of time for your Music Director to submit his endorsement to MusicFoundationRHS@gmail.com by the due date.


SELECTION CRITERIA 


The Scholarship Committee will consist of at least three members, approved by the Executive Board: 


(No member of the Reservoir High School staff or parent of an applicant may serve on the Scholarship Committee.) 


The Scholarship Committee will review each application to determine that each applicant has met the eligibility requirements and has submitted all of the required supporting documentation. The Scholarship Committee will then evaluate each of the following in making its determination. 


MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP AWARD ANNOUNCEMENT 


Recipients of the Summer Music Program Scholarship will be announced at the end of the year music banquet. 


MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP VERIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 


After successful completion of the summer music program, please submit documentation to:  Treasurer, Reservoir High School Music Foundation, 11550 Scaggsville Road, Fulton, Md 20759.  You can also send the documentation as attachments to treasurer.musicfoundationrhs@gmail.com


Appropriate documentation must include; the summer music program enrollment form and the receipt, the name to which the check should be written, the address where the check should be mailed, and a phone number or email address in case of questions.  A Disbursement Request form may also be used with the documentation attached.  Upon verification, reimbursement will be issued.


It is the student recipient’s responsibility to submit the required documentation for reimbursement within the appropriate time frame.

 

If the student elects not to attend the Summer Music Program after he/she has been accepted and has been awarded a Summer Music Program scholarship, the student must notify the Scholarship Committee as soon as possible.
